Excellent concrete seal

"Easy to apply and it looks great!"

"Great shine when applied with their sealant. You control the sheen by number of coats that you apply."

Good shine but little protection

"I applied two coats of Countershine over 4 coats of SiAcryl. This was a new countertop project without color or dyes. Although the countershine added a nice level of shine it immediately stained with coffee spill (wiped up immediately). This also caused the countershine to lift off leaving an area of matte finish. It also did nothing to prevent drops or spills of water from penetrating into the concrete below and leaving dark areas (which do go away after an hour or so) I called about my concern and it was suggested to add more coats of SiAcryl over the top of the Countershine. Though I do wonder about adhesion. I did order more of the SiAcryl and may sand lightly before applying."

Like Sparkly New after 15 Years

"I purchased my home almost a year ago and was a tad bummed that it had concrete counters that were chipped, dull, damaged from use, and overall not properly cared for. I ordered a different sealer and made no change to the counters surface. I ordered this product as a follow-up and while I had not wanted the gloss, it was exactly what my counters needed, filled in chipped spots, and gave my concrete counters a uniform waterproof & food safe surface!!! Easy to use, easy to apply, had tons left over to use again in a few years when it starts showing wear!"

great product so far

"Good product and good customer service. I just used it last week so can't tell about longevity, but I will try to update this post if I remember. The sealer went on easy and quick, it took 4-5 coats, then followed up by 2 coats of z counter shine. This really made the counter tops pop."

Q&A

Can you refresh the siacryl sealer when there’s still Some counter shine left on the countertop? Noticed marks forming from spills so it’s time to reseal. But I can still see that there’s some shine left.
Definitely time to re-seal. You will not need to strip the Counter-Shine. The nice thing about these products is they do not inhibit one another.
Can I mix the syacril14 with the powder/black pigment I used with the concrete mix for the counter top? Or is there any black stain that I can use with the Syacril14?
Unfortunately no, this sealer can not be pigmented. If you would like to add more color to the concrete before sealing, you can use a stain or dye from here - https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/collections/stains-and-integral-colors
To safely use the syacril14 and then the z shine, what could be the max grit to polish the countertop. Its an outdoor countertop of 25 feet x 5feet.
You can actually use these products on highly polished concrete, even up to 3000 grit. You will want to make sure when you apply, that you are rubbing the sealer in. Keep working it into the concrete until nothing but a wet film is left on the surface. Allow it to dry and do this 3-4 times, then test with water to make sure it is beading up and not penetrating.
HOW MANY LAYERS AFTER 4 SYACRL14 LAYERS APPLIED TO MY COUNTER TOP, CAN I APPLY FOR A MAXIMUM PROTECTION ANF GLOSS OF IT?
You will probably only need about 2 coats of the Counter-Shine. Make sure you are applying very thin coats by either wiping it on or rolling it out to a thin wet film.
After a couple years it has worn and scratched. How do I prep to to reapply?
There is no real surface prep needed to reapply the SiAcryl 14 or Counter-shine. You just need to make sure the surface of the countertop is nice and clean. I would start by reapplying a few coats of SiAcryl 14 followed by the Counter-Shine. To reapply, I would just rub the sealer and polish into the concrete with a micro-fiber rag.
I put a water sealer on from lowes. Would I still be able to use your product to seal and finish?
That depends on a few factors. Mainly what resin the product from Lowe's uses (acrylic, polyurethane, etc). Please call us and we can provide more info.
Do you recommend any other additional protection or polish on top of the Z Aqua-Thane M35 produce on concrete countertops?
This is a polyurethane coating which does not require any other layer on top of it.
How long do you wait between coats for Z shine?
You only need to wait about an hour for it to dry.
