Still haven't had a chance

Best stone surface ever

"I had only done a couple of plain counter tops in the past. I had agreed to do a textured surface for a new pub/restaurant in town. Their only request was for it to look "real". I have never found "stone" counter tops growing in nature but if you could find them, they would appear exactly like what was created with these stone mats and insert. The customer was thrilled and he tells me he gets compliments every day on his counter top. The look and, more importantly, FEEL, of the surface is fantastic. Thank you guys for your tech support and instilling the confidence I needed to take this project on. You will be highly recommended."

Great finish

"This was my first countertop project and it went very well. These mats worked well....we used them in conjunction with the form liners. We did a test prior to our actual countertops by building a 2' x 2' practice "countertop" in our garage. This allowed us to get familiar with the mixing, texture mats and overall process beforehand....I would highly recommend doing this as it helped our confidence with the process on the actual countertop"

Q&A

How long or what sign should I be looking for after pouring/leveling the cement should I press these mats into the cement?
You will first meed to screed, float and then let the concrete set until it is quite firm. When you touch it you should barely leave an imprint and not have any wet concrete left on your finger. Then you will use a steel trowel to get it nice and smooth before finally using the texture skins.
