Description

The Square Edge Z Counterform is ideal for cast-in-place concrete countertops where a clean flat edge profile is desired.

Full Package -  includes eight - 90" profile pieces (60 linear feet) and eight - 90" backwall pieces (60 linear feet).

Half Package -  includes four - 90" profile pieces (30 linear feet) and four - 90" backwall pieces (30 linear feet).

To use, place 1/2" cement board (Durock or Hardie Backer) on top of the cabinets. The cement board should be cut flush to the edge of the cabinets and held in place with silicon caulking. The forms will then be screwed into the cement board with a 5/8" x #10 panhead screw . After the concrete is poured, the forms are snapped off along the designated "break point" to reveal a beautiful clean edge.

Easy to use

"First time pouring a countertop and stumbled upon this product on YouTube. After reading and watching more I decide to give it a go. This company made it super easy to find everything I needed for my project and I highly recommend them. I had quick delivery and no issues. Although my countertops aren’t 100% perfect I love the look I was able to achieve with no prior experience."

HORRIBLE!

"Of my pieces, all of them were already partially broken apart and required extensive tape and repairs to make them even useful. Not to mention, the shipping costs for this product is UNBELIEVABLY EXPENSIVE. I would think for a package weighing around 10lbs, the shipping wouldn’t be so expensive. Furthermore, if the shipping is expensive I would expect my package to come in full working order and not broken/damaged. I am extremely disappointed by this company."

Evan S. (1/5)

"Love the product. But I had 4 pieces that were already snapped off when I opened the shipment. Called and left a message but no return call"

"Came out pretty sweet!!"

Q&A

Can I order just the profile pieces without the back wall pieces?
All of our form packages are assembled in the manufacturing line and the back wall pieces act as spacers to help prevent damage in shipping. For this reason, we do not pull packages apart. The back wall pieces are considered "included for free".
Any guide on how to use this product for rounded/curved application? I have an long curved outdoor fire pit bench that I am trying to cap, thank you
Two options. 1. We sell the Square Edge form pre-notched to bend - https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/products/bendable-square-form The other option is to cut it yourself. You can see how to do that in a video here - https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/blogs/countertop-videos/how-to-bend-the-square-edge-form
Can these be screwed into blocks for an outdoor kitchen countertops
Typically you would put backer board down on top of your block wall so you have a substrate to pour the concrete onto. However, I don't see an issue the forms cannot be screwed right into the block if you already have a substrate to pour the concrete on.
What is the easiest may to cut corners at a 45*? Square edge. I have outdoor kitchen and all sides will have finished edges.
You will need a miter saw to cut the forms at 45 degrees in order to make your corners.
How thick is the concrete for these forms?
The concrete on top of the cement board is 1-5/8" thick. Since you have 1/2" of cement board substrate the total height of the top of the cabinets is 2-1/8". The front edge will appear 2-1/4" thick due to the drop down to cover the cement board.
I am planning to build a 7' x39 1/2 " concrete counter top. I have never done this before, although I am very handy. Looking for the straight edge molding. There will be a sink in the middle of the island close to the front edge, but still inside the island. My question is can I use the same strait edge to form the space for the sink. Or do I have to use the back edge. Also what are the total materials I would need. Thank you
Typically for an undermount sink you will use our sink form and for a drop in (top mount) you would just use the back wall form. We have a sink installation guide at the link below but you can also call or email us for more detailed info. https://help.concretecountertopsolutions.com/en/articles/679744
Can these be mounted and left in the Sun for a week or will they warp? 100 degree days right now
If it is 100 degrees and they are in direct sunlight, do not mount them ahead of time, they will soften too much and most likely warp. I would get them all pre-cut and maybe mark where they go but don't install them until the night before or morning of the pour.
Is it possible to get one ninety inch piece of the square edge countertop form? My project needs 32 feet total
Ugh, unfortunately, we only sell the forms in the 30 ft. or 60 ft. package. They come pre-packaged from the manufacturing line to prevent damage so we don't pull any kits apart. Did you over figure by change like taking into account the edge of your stove or somewhere else that you can just use a lumber form?
My project is very small shop sink. 39” x 19”. Would you sell a smaller amount of material?
Unfortunately, all of our forms are packaged in the manufacturing line and they are packed very well to help prevent damage in shipping so we do not break apart kits, customize orders or sell individual pieces.
I have one counter with two cutouts that is 10x24, this buts up against a wall. I hace another run 9x30 that will join the 1st and create an L but is open both sides. What will I need to order for the forms please
It looks like you have slightly more footage than a half package would cover so I would purchase the "Full Package". This will give you more than enough front facing form and back wall form for this countertop.
